All three movies were filmed in the early 80s the latter two being more famous and rightly so being more true to the scene in new york at the time. Dreams Don’t Die, is a rare and forgotten movie that a lot of people don’t know about. filmed on location in New York Dreams Don’t Die first premiered on ABC television in 1982.The late Dondi r.i.p. was hired to do all the (King 65) graffiti for the film.
King 65 a young graffiti artist, finds trouble on the mean streets of New York City. Officer Charles Banks finds young Danny tagging subway cars and then catches Teiresa selling drugs for another mislead teen, Kirk. The officer, instead of turning both of them in, gives both teens a chance to make more of their lives together. Changing their ways turns out to be more challenging than first thought
